Year 5 are really excited about their trip to the National Space Centre next half term; a visit they are making because of their upcoming Science topic, "Earth, the Sun and the Moon". Children will have the opportunity to explore a real rocket, learn about the planets in our solar system in the centre's Planetarium and discover lots of interesting facts about the universe.
Our trip to National Space Centre will take place on Thursday 19th June, leaving school at 8:45am and returning for around 4pm. Children will need to bring a packed lunch, should wear full school uniform and can bring a maximum of £5 to spend in the Centre's gift shop.
We think that this is a fantastic opportunity for the children that will extend and supplement their scientific learning during the last half term of Year 5, and we hope that all children will be able to attend.
